I have had maybe one or two. Never really needed one. I knew what I had to do and thats that. I don't really like people trying to get pumped up. ALTHOUGH, the speech in Friday Night Lights (movie) from the player is one that got me pumped. lol

Been on the receiving end of many from the legendary G.A. Moore. He could make the worst team in district seem like a state championship. However, only one stands out and it wasn't from Coach Moore. Celina vs. Boyd in 1999 the old stadium in Denton. Coach Ford was our defensive coordinator at the time and we blew it in the first half. He took just the starting defense in a room by themselves, w/ no other coaches, and proceeded to call out every person one at a time. Coach Ford is not normally a loud, fire and brimstone coach in the locker room, but when he raises his voice it gets peoples attention. After about 15 minutes of the biggest butt chewing / pump you up speech I've ever witnessed, we went out and held the opposing offense to negative yardage in the second half. Will never forget that as long as I live.

99, 1st round of the playoffs... Down 14-0... wasn't really a speech...

one of our coaches had cancer and wasn't able to be with us... we got in after halftime, each group got their instructions etc... then the lights went off and the coaches popped on a tape of our coach talking to us, giving us a message, just talking about anything really... must have been ten minutes long... not a dry eye in that locker room...

won 20-14 in OT...

Toby York in 1981 versus Austin Westlake Behind 10-0 at Half. He comes in and tells us we are running 28-29 sweep (Wing T) and run it until they choke on it. We won 28 -10.

one time we were down at the half, and the coach came in the locker-room and pulled down his pants and pointed at his butt... told a player to hit the showers in that game, too...

From what I heard from my fellow sideline reporter, Coach Jackson gave one to remember tonight!!!!

He nearly used up all of the chalk from the chalk board (like 3 or 4 pieces!!) and to say least was not too happy with the Mustangs 1st half!

I guess whatever he said.....worked pretty well!!:clap: :clap:
