View Full Version : Will Any Undefeated Fall This Week?

Well, it's Thursday of wek 2 of the playoffs. There's been alot of banter on the board and alot of bragging. At the start of tthe playoffs there were seven undefeated teams in 3A. After the first week of playoffs there were still seven.
Bridgeport
China Spring
Cleveland
Liberty Hill
Navasota
Sinton
West Orange Stark

Which team, or teams do you believe have the most danger of losing this week? BE REALISTIC

I think Cleveland may be at the biggest risk. They have played very well this year in a weak district and have not been heavily tested. This week they get Rockdale, a very good team and a team that has faced several versions of the Cleveland style offense and shown they can stop it.

All of the rest will probably win this week, but there are some great matchups here. If an underdog gets a timely turnover or another timely break, there may be a couple more upsets.

I agree with you Bison Cleveland could be the one of the seven to be at the must risk! Rockdale is a battle tested team that plays solid defense and that always a plus in the playoffs.
But all of them needed to have the there "A" game this weekend because on any given night the curtain could close on your season.

I think any team can be at risk. If they don't come out and play up to their potential any one of them can be beat.

I agree that any team could fall this week if they don't come out mentally focused and prepared for the game.

Bridgeport will fall this week. Sinton will get blown out next week when they play the LaVernia/Bellville winner.

Possibly. If we play like we did last week, definitely. But I think Coach Bell and the staff will have the boys focused and ready to go for this one. Just like last year when we almost lost to Rockdale in the first round. Needed a last second field goal to win. That was the best thing to happen to us last year. Same with this year. Scare in the first round. We'll see how it gets us going.

Dang, non of the board rookies have got any faith in my Bulls. :D

Maybe a little more "hope" than "prediction" going on there......

On China Spring, keep in mind that if 32 did not fumble 3 or 4 times, we would have scored at least 40 or 50. I hope coach Bell is not tollerate the fumbling and pull him (or anyone) if the can't hang on to the ball.

You China Spring guys are killing me. IF IF IF --If Burnet wouldn't have blown a block on their first series on the 4th and 1 inside the 20 it would have been 7-0. If they would of hit the uncovered back in the flat on the 3rd and 3 it might have been 14-0. If they would have caught the wide open pass on the 10 it would have been 21-0. If they would not have thrown the pick in the endzone it would have been 28-0. If their Kicker wouldn't have missed the 37 yd FG it would have been 31-0. Ifs and buts. IF Gatesville doesn't make the playoffs next year it will be an early exit for China..

Not sure "IF" this is sarcasm or if this was serious.

However, reality is:
China Spring- 24
Burnett- 0

"IF" a frog had wings, he would not bump his rear when he landed!!!

Go Cougars!

China Spring won't make the playoffs next year. It will be Whitney, Hillsboro and Gatesville.:D

We are definately going to have a fall off. Losing 35 (or 37 or 30+) will typically do that.

However, if West can suprise us this year, I will take our chances next year.

In our old district, I would say no way. However, in 7-3A I think the teams will be pretty evenly matched next year.

I have been a season ticket holder for 7 years, and will continue even if the years get rough!

Go Cougars!

Llano's a good team, but I don't think they're going to knock off Bridgeport. It's interesting that everyone thinks the Bulls are the next undefeated to go down.

I'm not saying Bridgeport can't lose. Anyone can lose on any given night, but you don't have to have two state titles to be a dominant football team. I'd like to see Llano play'em tough, but it's going to be tough for the Yellowjackets.
