According to my records (and the UIL's) Sweetwater will be playing their 999th game in school history this week, which could mean there's a possibility of a showdown with Liberty Hill for game #1000 if they both win this week.

They've gone 9-2 this season so far and when you tack that on to the total record below you get:
621-349-28 which equals 998 games played to date.

Now that I look, Cuero just played its 1000th game last Friday. It came and went without fanfare.

Sorry I didn't catch it! I stumbled on this by accident after I was asked about Sweetwater's all-time record today

A lot of teams made a habit of that in the 70's. I think they were all smoking dope in Sweetwater back then.
