China Spring leads Burnet 3-0 at the half. A real defensive smack down so far. Of course the wind is giving both teams heck!!!

Both defenses have really been "STICKING" the other team hard.

Both teams have had TD chances, but could not capitalize.

10-0 CS soon after the half.......................

End of 3rd Qtr.........CS has big quarter, scores 21. Burnet goes completely cold.

Score now 24-0

Congrats CS, your cougars really turned up the heat in the 3rd Quarter. Hicks kid is really quite the player. DC really did a good job of getting CS defense working right.

Good job China Spring, you guys have a heck of a team this year and are really showing it. Just think if China Spring, Cameron, Navasota, Caldwell, and Rockdale were in the same District. What a heck of a district.

We also run the "nasty" John Tyler Sweep.
Mike Hicks 250 yards RUSHING on 19 carries, 2 TDS.
Bell 3 of 5 passing 50 Yards 1 TD

Mistakes killed us momentum wise. Procedure penalties and 5 Fumbles.

China Spring dialed up the "D".
Burnet didn't have a 1st down in the 2nd half until halfway into 4th quarter and that was on a penalty.

Yea, the first half was great football. CS just came out after the half and turned up their running game. The wind screwed with the kicks and pass plays and usually went in favor of CS. Grats on the win CS, well played.
