Congratulations to LH. That's one heck of a program you guys have. The slot-T had me wondering who had the ball all night. West had 2 shots inside the redzone in the 1st half and ended up turning the ball over both times. West should have been tied with LH at 14 at the half. Maybe that would have given us some more momentum, but just too much LH in the long run. Way to go guys and hope to see you again later this year.:clap:

Yep. Some of the West fans were complaining about pass interference on LH:confused: , and that the ref must have had the flag glued to his pocket. I liked it like that. Nice clean game that went really fast.

Just thought it was odd. I didn't really see any penalties. Except on our last drive we had a guy split out and he was not on the line and should have been. The ref was signaling that he was off the line which made it an illegal formation. But the ref just said screw it since we didn't gain much yardage on it.

The play calling was very limited to avoid showing much to upcoming opponents.

West has definitely got some beef on the line. They played hard all night, and showed alot of class out there.

Talked to a few players last night, they said they just came out a little flat. There wasn't much vanilla, at least he said that was not the game plan coming in, just said West was better than they thought and played very hard up front.

We couldn't run that long pitch last night because of the wind. Had we been able to run that play I think it would have opened things up some more.

Just a quick "kudos" for the 2nd string Quick-side OL guys. One starter was out the complete game, the other went out in the 2nd quarter with an injury (not sure what). The backups did a good job stepping up to the plate. :clap:

He was actually out after the 1st drive. I saw Doc take his helmet away...so it was probably a concussion. So, we had 2 of our highway pavers out of servise virtually the entire game.

I just wanted to say congrats to West on a well played game. Their size on the D-line really made a difference. Yeah we were without both starting guards, but you still have to play the game and West did a great job of clogging up the inside. It reminded me a lot of Sweeny's effort against us in '06. We probably should have exploited the outside sooner with the wide pitch or hit'em with play-action on 1st or 2nd down, but the wind really limited what both teams could do offensively.

I thought it was a solid effort by our defense, limiting West to 130 yards and making a good halftime adjust to stop the play West was having success with in the first half. Offensively, we weren't real crisp. I would have never guessed that we had over 480 yards of offense, but we did have some long fields, so I guess that makes sense. Hopefully we can get our guards and tailbacks healthy for next week and the machine rolling a little better.
