Does anyone know what the record for wins is for an individual player in their high school career? I know this record would be hard to track.

Cody Lattimore from Liberty Hill is a senior and his record as a four year starter (started game one of his freshman year and has not missed a game) at MLB is currently 47-5. If LH runs the table in the playoffs he will end up with 53 wins. That is an average of 13.25 wins per year. If it is not the record as a varsity player it has to be close.

Probably someone who was on a team who had more than 48 game win streak.

Probably someone from either SLC's or Celina's playoff runs.

I'm going to guess someone during Celina's 68 game win streak.

Maybe one of the other Bobcat fans can help with determining which player(s) it could be.

Help me out here. I went to the SLC-Miami Northwestern game last year and they said that SLC was trying to tie or break the record for most consecutive wins at 50, but I knew about Celina's streak. How were they trying to tie or break a record when Celina had the 68 game winning streak?

Sealy and Southlake Carroll are the only schools to go 63-1-0 over a 4 year period. Celina went 16-0-0 for three straight seasons ('99, '00 and '01) but never went 63-1-0 (I believe they lost 2 games in '98 and only went 11-1-0 in '02)

Sealy did it from 1994-1997 and Southlake Carroll did it 2002-2005 AND 2003-2006

I would thus look to the Sealy graduating class of 1998 and the SLC graduating classes of 2006 and 2007 to see if any players played all 4 years

They were referring to the winning streak in the largest existing classification. The largest-classification record is still 49 which was set by Abilene from 1954-1957 and tied by SLC from 2004-2007

Sealy would be my guess, since they are 3A and would be more likely to have a freshman on varsity. I met a guy from Sealy with four rings. It was a while back and I didn't ask if he actually started all four years, but I'm sure he's not the only one from Sealy with four rings.

Depends on how you count it.

The record for wins as a starter is 62: Jordan Martin from Celina. 1998-2001. I have been told (possibly wrongly) that Sealy had no four-year starters during their four-year run.

Clay Evans from Celina had a 57-5 record from 1997- 2000 as a true four year starter. Thanks!

as far as qb's go, celina's adam herrin was 46-2 and currently is the only qb (i'm fairly certain) that won 3 titles as a starter

clay evans at LB was the only 4-way starter from that team

Seeing Bruce listed as a Rookie is kind of a surprise. Glad to see "Old Bruce" out and about, but he is no Rookie!
