View Full Version : Bellville vs Sinton (V-ball)

Will Bellville win and get one step closer to #10(State Championships) or will Sinton get the up-set over one of the top rated teams in 3a. Bellville and Columbus from D25 move over from R3 from last year to R4. If both teams win their 1st game they will meet for the chance to be in the State Final 4, but Bellville will have to beat Sinton first. How do you see this one, 9 time state champion Bellville or Sinton?

If the Bellville girls don't improve over their showing last night, then the parents will be able to hit the Riverwalk early in San Antonio. They were lucky to get by LaGrange, who played a great match. However, I know Brewer will have them ready to go. It will be up to the girls to perform at a higher level that they will need to get past Sinton. Good luck Brahmanettes!

This is kind of jumping the gun isn't it. Both teams have other playoff games to play first.

I was shocked to hear how timid Bellville came into their 3rd matchup with La Grange. Its hard to beat a good team twice in a year, much less three times. I heard all week how good their practices were leading up to this game. Very shocked but don't expect to see the same team against Sinton.

Bellville is 30-6 and 4 of those losses were against very good 5A teams (Pearland, Oakridge (2), Travis). Another was to St. Agness, a 6A Tapps school. Bellville defeated several 4 & 5A teams during their very tough pre-district schedule, including Travis (35-10) which had given them one of their losses.

Actual record is 35-7 I believe, but that is not important at this point. They have taken on and defeated some very good 4A and 5A teams and taken their knocks from same.

Last night was a tough match but good teams find a way to win even when they are not in top form, LG played their hearts out and still fell a little short.

Match up with Sinton will be a good one, neither team has faced each other in probably quite some time. Go Bellville!

This game will be Friday night in San Antonio @ 8:00 pm. Wish it were Thursday night.
The crowd will be split, both Bellville and Sinton have their1st round football playoffs also that night. Bellville fans will be split some in El Campo for the Bellville vs Wharton game, and others in San Antonio.
GO BELLVILLE!!

Reds Fan we got our match up! :D

I'm so proud of our girls & their performance last night!

They came out fired up & ready to play in our first 2 games. In the 3rd game Lytle woke up and we started making some mistakes. (grrr ;) )

The 4th game was very intense, back & forth points. Pretty much what I expected the entire match to be like.

You could see the determination in all their faces. They were NOT going to lose!

Our girls will have to play with the same intensity & determination that they showed against Lytle. There is no room for error at this stage. Especially not against a tradition rich school who expects to win.

Not that it matters at this point, but our record is 34-6 overall; 14-0 district.

It will come down to execution & desire.

Lady Pirates you CAN do it!

Good Luck!

Thanks for the correction, I was getting my info from the Houston Chronicle and they must of missed a few games. Bellville has played a tough schedule, including those bigger schools & a very tough district.

Unfortunately no, I can't be there:( Maybe Saturday.

Seriously, the Bellville girls are not a tall team at all, I believe they have 5 seniors and a junior in the starting rotation. They can come at a team with a lot of different looks.
