FORNEY--A 91-yard run highlighted a huge night for Peter Smith as he, along with Blake Branton, helped Forney (9-1, 5-1) overcome a 14 point deficit early in the first quarter to beat Red Oak (4-6, 3-3) 44-30.
Smith finished the game with 263 yards rushing and three touchdowns while Branton ran for 166 and threw for 90 yards, totaling 3 touchdowns.
With the win, Forney finished the regular season as tri-champions of District 15-4A along with Lancaster and West Mesquite.
