The previous post about best steaks got me to thinking - how do you like your steak prepared/cooked?

these are just a little bit "too rare" but they sure are pretty Porterhouse steaks......:D :D

I like mine medium... my uncle on the other hand will tell them show it to the fire and bring it to him! AND hes a butcher!:eek:

me too almost - I thought I voted RARE- I must have messed up when I voted - it shows I've already voted but it shows NO votes for Rare :confused:

The steakhouse in sommerville is by far the best place i have EVER been to get steak.. they even put garlic on it..mmmmm now im hungry..

Hey tony... how about a road trip up here and dinner in sommerville!

If it's an actual steak place I'll pick medium-rare but if its one I'm not sure about I pick medium.

I prefer rare but with the safety issues now I get mine medium.

Medium well...although I have had raw before...one night in high school, (alot of my stories start out that way lo) me and my buddies were camping out and well we were grilling out and i grabbed the first piece of steak i saw and bit into it...only to realize i had pulled it off of the uncooked pan of steaks...ya..

Agreed. More rare than medium. I dont even mind a steak cooked rare. ;)

I enjoy a steak that's as dead as it can be! My younger brother, well, he likes them to still be somewhat alive. :)

I like a little moo still left in it.
I even prefer hamburger a little rare, but because of safety issues I cook them through now. But not to the point of hockey puck like some do.

I go through Caldwell and Somerville on my way back and forth to Houston, but its always dark when I go through there. I think I know the place your talking about, but I can never read the sign when I go through, but theres always several cars there. Is it the one with the square sign and blinking lights around it? The lights dont light up the sign enough to read.

Absolutely medium rare. Any cook worth his salt should refuse to ruin a good cut of beef by going any further!

If someone insists on anything past medium rare the grilling should be handed to the offender and let him/her ruin her own steak!:D

If there is a bloody mess on my plate then it's too rare for me!

I won't bother to send it back though because of the movie Waiting :(
