i saw someone on another site complaining that Gainesville has 3 times the enrollment size of the other teams that are at the state b-ball tourney. so i was wondering where i could find enrollment numbers that those teams turned in for next year.
i know that g-ville turned in 825.
i need Midland Greenwood, Kountze, and CC West Oso.

I found 828 for Gainesville and 463 for West OSO. I know that Kountze is dropping to 2A.

Kountze's numbers are somewhere in the 350's. What they don't have in numbers, is made up in heart.

small enrollment schools will always complain about having to play large enrollment schools. Always have, always will....is it fair...not really.....but unless you divided up the classifications from 0-100, 101-200, 201-300, 301-400....and so on all the way up to 4000 students or so then there will always be enrollment discrepancies. Also consider the fact that while enrollment is the determining factor in your classification, one thing that is not factored in is how many of those students actually participate in athletics. For those of you in the Ft. Worth area use the latest UIL realignment as an example....Ft. Worth ISD appealed for a switch of 2 of its teams because they usually cannot field subvarsity teams and this is at 4a level. Now compare that to your 3a town and consider if you have enough kids that they ever have to cancel subvarsity games for "lack of participation".

I know that one of the Bridge City subvarsity teams had just 13 boys on it. They called themselves "The Dirty Dozen". 2 or 3 3A schools in this area don't have freshman squads
