Production has started for this high school football movie. It is scheduled to be released in 2005. Billy Bob Thorton stars as the coach and singer Tim McGraw plays a hard-nosed father of one of the players.

where is this going to be filmed??They have been in Manor for the past few days filming. They have part of the downtown area closed. Didn't know what was going on, but stopped and asked a police officer that was blocking the road. They are filming a house scene. The house they are filming at has a big "MOJO" sign in the front yard.

They are filming in the Austin area and also in Odessa. I heard that some students from Austin Travis high school are extras.

Great book, If you havent read it, I suggest it. Hope the movie is half as good as the book. FYI, Gary Gaines (the head coach of Permian during the book and movie) is now the head coach at Abilene Christian University, where several 3A players have signed to play next fall.
