It was a leave of absence...Has he been fired yet? He has really kept his nose clean and done a good job at WT the last few years.

The problem is it's illegal to take prescription meds of someone else's. If it were Tylenol, do you think this would be news?

Pain killers? Given that it's Ryan Leaf, I assume he was trying to numb the memory of his NFL "career"...

Still, who wants Ryan Leaf as a QB coach given his status as an all-time NFL bust? Was Todd Marinovich unavailable?

Take me for instance, I stole one of Injured's viagra and it got stuck in my throat so I had a stiff neck for 2 weeks!  Now, had i not stolen that pill I never would have been in that predicament.

CANYON, Texas -- West Texas A&M quarterback coach Ryan Leaf has resigned, the school announced Thursday.

Leaf, who also served as the school's men's golf coach, has been on a leave of absence for personal reasons.

"Coach Leaf offered his resignation this morning, which I accepted," WTAMU athletic director Michael McBroom said. "He does not want his personal issues to become a distraction to the players that he has coached for the past three seasons.

"I wish Ryan all the success in the world. He's been a part of our family for the past three years and it's always hard to lose a member of your family. But we will move on and so will Ryan Leaf."

Offensive coordinator Scott Parr will coach the quarterbacks for the remainder of the season.

Jimmy Jameson, former WTAMU golfer and the husband of women's golf coach Meredith Jameson, will become interim men's golf coach. A national search will be conducted next spring for a permanent replacement.

He did a pretty good job with the WT QB's. He's a good coach. Look at the WT offensive stats the past three years. He must have been doing something right with the QB's.

I gotta say this about Leaf. I played against WT whenever he was the quarterback's coach there. I walked by him before a game and he was talking about "when I was in the league, blah, blah, blah..." All I heard out of his mouth was about when he was in the league like he was Joe Montana of something like that. I looked at him and called him a moron.
