TCU/Utah

This is going to be a huge Thursday night game with the winner maybe becoming a BCS buster (only way not is if Utah wins and losses to BYU). TCU comes in the favorite despite the lower ranking this team has been on fire since their loss to OU earlier in the year. Utah led by a Texas product at QB Brian Johnson from Baytown Lee has been unblemished including a win over Oregon St the week after they beat USC.

The game is being played on CBS College Sports Channel so i dont know how many people get that and will be able to watch the game so that sucks. But im going to take TCU in this one.

I have Direct TV and have CBS College Sports. Unfortunately, I'll be at work tonight so I won't be able to watch it live, but they will re-air this game a lot in the next couple of days. I'll catch it during the weekend. :)

Sure hope the Frogs can do to Utah what they did to BYU. A BCS bowl bid would be outstanding, but I think it will still be hard for a smaller conference school to get one. Go Frogs!

if TCU wins out, they're in:

The highest ranked champion of a non-BCS conference will receive an automatic berth if:
- It is ranked in the top twelve, or
- Ranked in the top sixteen and higher than another BCS Conference champion.

so since TCU is #11 now if they win out they'll be at least 11, and they'll certainly be higher than the Big East champ

Works in theory, but a little birdie tells me that Boise St is #10 with an easier road to the end and undefeated. Might be one of them deals where TCU needs to jump them based on strength of schedule. Hope that occurs based on playing 3 top tens. If they win they'll be 2-1 against those top 10's.
