View Full Version : The new Region I editor.

Sweetwater Red

I'll be the Region I editor from this point forward. I will leave
the Region I page as it is until after the dust settles Friday night.
I'll go to work on it Saturday morning.

I'll take positive and negative feedback from anyone through
PM's or in open threads. What's important is to make it a page
people want to check in on.

After the football season is over, I'd like to dedicate part of
the page to the major sports played in the winter and spring...
boy's/girl's basketball and baseball/softball scores and
standings for each district in our region.

If anyone knows of good sources to get that information from
Far West Texas, the Panhandle, or Central Texas...please PM
me the links and I'll bookmark them for future reference material.

Thanks,

Sweetwater Red

Here's a sneak preview.

I know the Sweetwater folks are hoping to avoid playing Vernon
for as long as possible.:D

Welcome, Red. Glad to see you taking on the R1 job, and thanks to your predecessor for his previous efforts . The pay and benefits will remain the same as before, I am sure.

Make sure you have a good pair of asbestos underwear and earplugs that work. :D

Thanks. I thought about the Austin American Statesmen(?). But,
I've read several posts saying they don't cover area 3A teams
very well.

That, my friend, is a HUGE understatement...

You've got a lot of resources here on the board - use us...

I have to hand it to you Red, you've got some big ones. I wouldn't have stuck my name on it, but then maybe I'm a wimp. ;)

Yeah they cover no one. Waco Trib does a decent job over high schools in general, but it's mainly Waco and Midway. So yeah like Chuck said, just use us. Plus it's more legit from us.

I can't wait until the brackets fill up so I can see what Vernon's
path looks like. I hope it's loaded with juggernauts. We're tired
of getting knock out of the playoffs by you guys.:D

As a matter of fact, yes I do!

Look, your demands are getting to be a bit unreasonable. You think I should be smart, beautiful, funny, confident, witty AND a computer wiz? Geez...who do you think I am...RWB?:D
