Can someone explain to me what exactly a full down is? Full down=you played in the NFL. No FULL DOWN=means you never stepped on the field with NFL players. or it could be he only played pre season but never a down in the regular season??????:)

Mendenhall had already played prior to that game. What Emmitt meant to say was he hasn't played a FULL SEASON. Unfortunately the relay from his brain to his mouth malfunctions pretty often.

The dude is just not any good as an analyst. There are other guys out there better than him as an analyst, but they aren't the NFL's all-time rushing leader. Emmitt has a good chance to be this generation's Joe Theismann. Joe usually knew what he was talking about, but his voice was very annoying.

I don't know if anything he's said yet can top when he said "The Patriots Debacled".
