Fortunately for the Panthers, I don't think Coach Vance will let his kids show up with that attitude or expectation.

Could explain the headache! I don't think it'll be as bad as all that. Llano could actually score 21 to 28 points, but I still don't think it'll be enough. Liberty Hill rolls to a perfect 10-0 season. They WILL lose a game this year, though. Ain't sure when, but they will lose a game this year.:D

LH 56
Llano 35 Final.
Subtract about one TD on each side, and that's about what I'd guess.

Two teams running the Slot-T can burn the clock down a bit faster than most.

Still holding out hope for a big surprise, but realistically I don't expect it. You don't get to winning 33 in row by showing up overconfident and expecting to win easily each week. That's a big factor in these streaks: showing up week after week and not allowing yourself to believe too much of the hype.

I think its LH 42-28.

Llano will get to see the Best version of what they try and do.

LH wins and captures another district title.

Unless LH has fallen off this year that score he quoted is probably close. I would say 42 14 just because they shorten the game with their style of offense.

I think LH will score atleast once through the air. Fickel was 0-1 with a pic in his last outing. He will be looking for redemption.

I think he said he was joking, though.

I think the score will depend on how many breakaway/big gainers there are. With two teams running the Slot-T, if we have a lot of methodical, clock-killing drives with plenty of first downs, this one could be considerably lower scoring than one might expect with these offenses -- especially if some of these long drives are eventually stopped on downs.

Having said that... LH 41, Llano 20. My heart says otherwise, but my head overrules it.

I never could explain it, nor could anyone else. That's one of the first questions I had when we moved here: What's up with orange yellow jackets?

Then again, when was the last time you saw a purple panther in the wild?

Our Panther isn't purple. It wouldn't fit if our mascot was a panther and we put a lion on our helmets.

It must be the accepted norm... in ALvin, they are the yellowjackets and they are orange and black as well...

Bay City is the Blackcats and they are blue and yellow... oh well

Well considering a mallard is a duck.. and a mallard is green, green ducks isn't too odd.

That is what I treid to explain to him earlier.

I am pulling for the orange jackets on most nights. I wanted them to win their last weeks game...and I want them to win next weeks game. Just not this weeks one.

Liberty Hill putting the longest win streak in Texas on the line....AGAIN!!!

With the way teams are bringing their "A" game every week against Liberty Hill, expect this Llano game to be no different.

I believe the Panthers will make it 34 wins in a row, but this one could be closer than most people think!!!!!!

Don't forget to catch the game live:

the yellojackets colors are orange and black because many years ago thier name was the Llano Tigers. Somehow it was changed to yellowjackets and the colors stayed the same. And by the way, the longest winning streak in Texas is owned by Richland Springs at 39. They only have 1 loss in 5 years and that was in state championship game in 05.

I just looked and it's actually 37 (14-0 both '06 & '07), but they DO hold the longest win streak. I guess someone needs to inform the media & several websites that track this info, because from what I have seen, 6-man does not appear to be included in the records.

Is there a meet and greet? I'll be at the tent outside the fences from 5 till probably 6:30. Fellowship Baptist is serving funnelcakes! YUM. Everyone is welcome to stop by and have one! (Even if you're wearing orange.)

Nothing has been said, but that would be cool! Since it's Parent's Night, I'll be a little tied up from around 6 or so until KO. I can do halftime, though!

Surprising score. 7-3 LH with 7:00 and change in the first half.

Surprising not only for the low score, but because it's very rare when Llano kicks a field goal.
