Good win for the Tech program. Typically Tech blows a game they should win, and they have avoided that this year. Hats off to Leach and a MUCH improved defense. I still hope Okie Lite and OU beat Tech since I am a longhorn fan, but if the Red Raiders make it to the national championship I will be rooting for them.

My daughter was also in that student line to get into the game. She and some friends took turns from 7 am Saturday morning. Her turn began @ 10:30 am and she got into the gate around 4 pm. She said they were counting the students and @ 4 pm, she was about 5900 plus in the count. She said it was the most fun she has ever had in her life and She didn't run out onto the field but stayed behind in the stands to take pictures of the celebration. Took her over 2 hours to get out of the stadium and walk about 1/4 mile to her apartment. Crazy, crazy in LBK.

Great game, wish I could have been there to experience it first hand but I was cheering and jumping up and down watching it on a 9" TV @ the deer lease.

Congrats also to the TTU Cross Country Womens Team who won the Big 12 Championship held @ Iowa State.

Former Giddings CC state champion Michelle Guzman ran a career best and placed in the top 15 at this event. :clap:

I hope they both win out and finish 1/2 in the BCS polls. What will they do then?? I thought I heard that they both couldn't be in the championship game. Is this right?

My youngest step son got in line at 10:00....he called to tell us he was on the 40 yd line about 20 rows up.

He called us, after the game, as he was entering the throng of people on the field...we couldn't understand a word he was saying. 1st because of the noise and 2nd because he was so hoarse.

My husband called him today and he still didn't hardly have a voice!!

My day....

Got up about 8 and went to CollegeGameday, Corso and Knight had me lmao...
As soon as that was over I went straight to the stadium to stand in line. I was #9000 and somethin of get in.
Lucky for me they opened up the grass as soon as I got in the stadium and I sat about 3 rows up in the grass behind the goal posts, they were great seats...
I was not one of the idiots that ran on the field before the game was over, but I was on the field before time had expired.
No voice at all left, I yelled all game.
I have never seen a town so alive at night, traffic was horrible even at 2 in the morning.
It was worth the 10hr wait...

Lakers, I just saw your pics and realized you were in my Chem lab last semester. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Here's how my weekend went. I'll start from Friday night. Got off work at midnight, went to start tailgating. Went to bed at 7 with every intention of going to Gameday. . . woke up at 10. Resumed tailgating with the tapping of the Natty Light keg. Went to a local watering hole to meet up with Adidas, Adidas' fiance, mom, dad, and a few other friends at noon. Tried to find potential g/f so she could meet my parents. She was in line, so you can understand how I was unsuccessful with that endevor. I told my friends we could just kinda walk to the front once the gates opened, but nobody listened to me. they all stood in line for 6 hours. Met parents at Alumni Center at 3 and left at 5. Entered game at 5:30 at around #9000. Found a buddy and his girlfriend so I sat with them right next to band about 20 rows up. Did not partake in the idiocy that ensued on the field. Apologized to numerous UT fans that were being disrespected by our idiot students on the way out of the game. Went to resume tailgating, but decided it would be better to go home. Me and some buddies came to the house and watched the game again on DVR. Got up at 11 and watched the game again on DVR. . . I really love that thing. Went to work. Now it is bed time. What a weekend!:D

Not sure what that is however I think he has a helper that shoots the guns and he has the opition to do it for the next 3 years.There is a lot of work that goes along with this before and after games. He said the only drawback is while he is in uniform he can never be caught drinking beer. He is a really good kid that very excited about his job, will make me have more interest in TT.

That sounds like the saddle tramps to me. They are responsible for decorating campus, the mascot is a member of the saddle tramps too. and there are a lot more responsibilities
