the same kind as texas tech being number 3 how are the longhorns going to be ranked 7 four weeks ago and beat the number 1 team and move up to number one then tech beat the number 1 team and only move to 3 now thats crap i hate the way college football is set up

Noone else in the top 5 lost this week so Tech moved up 4 spots after the win and Texas moved up 4 spots so its actually about the same.

i think tech will lose to ou and/or ok st, and i think either penn st or alabama will lose a game - i think if texas can win out, they will play for the NC....

their run over the last few weeks i think is enough to keep them near the top.....

Interesting. USC and Florida are likely to win out. I think Bama is losing to LSU and likely Florida as well in the SEC Championship. Would rather not see this happen as I'd like Tech run the table to Miami, but OU is going to beat Tech and they'll probably do so rather handily (OU has to be kicking themselves for the UT loss because that offense is pretty close to unstoppable right now.). That should leave Penn State and Florida playing for the title. If Penn State falters against either Iowa, Indiana or Michigan State (Yeah not likely) then you're likely to see USC playing Florida in January.

Tech should be happy that they're a week away from being #1 in the AP poll. All that has to happen is they beat Okie State and Bama has to lose in Death Valley (The odds on that happening aren't going to be as high as usual since it's an afternoon game and not a night game.) and they are the AP #1 going into the OU game.

Tech will LOSE either 1 of 2 of their next 2 games or BOTH!!! They play a VERY GOOD Okie State at home next week!!! Doubt they will be as pumped up for this game as they were for the Texas game. That WAS THEIR BCS Championship game last night!! Then they have to travel to Norman to play a surging Oklahoma team. The Sooners will be looking for revenge after losing to Tech last year in Lubbock!!! They will get it, I think!!! So Tech's HIGH won't last very long!!!
