Who wins?
If Wharton comes up with the W, then it's a co-championship.
If Sweeny wins, it's theirs outright. :)
Should be intersting.
I think Sweeny by 10 or more.

May sound silly... but me thinks this one will be a defensive battle.
Sweeny has offensive explosiveness, but Wharton has the defensive answer... SPEED.

IDK, I just think sweeny is better after having watched both teams play.
Who knows on this night though?
Good luck to both teams. Doesn't really matter, just bragging rights going into the playoffs.

So I'm interpreting this as you saying that the Tigers WON'T show up planning on winning? Don't be so quick to write the Tigers off...where there's a will, there's a way! It'll be a real test for the Tigers but one which IS possible!!!
Good luck to you guys this week. I'm would imagine you'll get win #2 in district this coming Friday.

Wow, what a pompous attitude...there is something to be said about a dose of humbleness. I say a true Champion should know how to be humble along with a sense of pride.

it is sweeny... they drink heavily polluted water... pretty soon one road will get shut down so there will be only two ways to get to Sweeny... two more than needed...
not much happens there... so when they finally get out of town, woo hoo...

I think Sweeny has the better team. That said, Wharton is no slouch either. I think this will be a grudge match that is fought in the trenches all night. In that type game, Wharton will pull out a victory by making a last minute stop on the Sweeny offense.

Sweeny is used to winning, has great tradition in many sports including State Championships, & loyal fans. That's not all bad when you're a kid growing up there. Not a place for young adults so much, but oh well. Nice little community where everybody knows everybody (& too often everybody's business too).
Go Dogs, win district outright Friday night. Haven't seen a game all year due to job & distance, but hope to catch you in the playoffs.

Yes, they have been talking about it for ten years, however they can not finish the Hwy 35 project that has been under construction for many years in the same area.

if wharton can limit sweeny to 14 points. Wharton will win.
If sweeny can score more than 14, Sweeny will win.
