Looks like our old OC has already turned Rogers around Liberty Hill style.. infusion of the slot-T and solid defense.

Rogers is 7-1 and 4-0 cliching a playoff spot and a possible district title show down with Salado next week..

We had planned to make the game tonight, but won't be able to after all. The last I heard, they're using the two-platoon system, which is incredible considering the number of kids playing.

Walker is an animal of a coach, those poor kids have got to be in the greatest shape they've even been in haha

7-1:eek: That's so awesome!

Just wait until they have to go through a Walker off-season. I am actually going to the Rogers vs. Salado game next week. I hope Rogers can win the district championship.

After a great year like he's having in his first year, he's going to get a lot of community support. And I'll bet you anything, the first thing he asks for from the School Board is about 10 squat racks:eek:

I might like to be a fly on the wall when "some" of the parents realize exactly what lifting means.  :D

I'd love to hear the kids conversations after their first workout, I think it's going to look like this: :helpme:

Those guys probably know what hard work is like being a small 2a country town like that. They will be fine. They just won't be able to walk normal for a week or two.

If your from Liberty Hill you know how funny that is. Those kids only think they know what squats are!!!! They have no idea whats coming.

It's in Salado, which isn't too far. I might have to.

Depends on how much school work I've got, right now my grades could be a little better:doh:

I'm glad to see he is having such success. He definitely pushes the kids to get 100% of their potential - both in the weight room and on the field.

Funny story - when his wife was having her twins, he wrote an apology on the white board to the kids for missing practice. If I remember right - he was back that afternoon.

There once was a time when Liberty Hill and Rogers were ultimate district rivals....for many years we were the two that loved to hate each other!

All I see is conflict in the future of LH. Who is the successor of Vance?
The OC there now is really good and seems to know the system as well as Walker. They really haven't missed a beat. So does it go to him, or does Walker come back? Or does it go to someone new?

I guess I'll wait to hear it from him since I've been hearing the "retirement" rumors for 3-4 seasons. :p Besides, there's lots of kids coming up. Who said we'll stop at 3?

From what I gather, 8th through sophomores are really solid. Maybe LH can make a push for another 2 or 3. But what is Vance, 60? I have to think he will cash in his chips soon.
