View Full Version : Bandera Complete Football History (1937-2008)

By special request...

The U.I.L. actually had a Class C alignment for a short time back in the 1930's (1933-1938) and this is the first history I've researched in which a school actually was aligned to one of those districts.

In regards to some of their opponents over the years:

Hot Wells was a high school in San Antonio (NOT the Hot Wells out near El Paso)
Schertz-Cibolo became Schertz Clemens in 1969
San Antonio North Side became San Antonio Marshall in 1960
La Coste merged with Castroville to become Medina Valley in 1960

In 1942 Bandera was district champs but for some reason did not participate in the playoffs

74-79 was a ROUGH time for Bandera foozeball.


ESPECIALLY 1976.... dang 33 points all season... and 27 of those were in one game. Sutout 8 times that year..... :( :eek:
