Wow! I had no idea Elton Brand was gone!

I must not have been paying attention to the Clippers this off season.

I must not have been paying attention to the Clippers this off season. It happened like RIGHT whenever free gaency started. I think Brand actually signed the deal the day before he became eligible to be a FA.

Yep they got him for free from Denver. Oh well he probably won't play 50 games for them all season.

Here's what happened with the Clips.

Baron wanted to come home and thought Brand would stay. He even told Clipper management he would.

He went back on that shortly after free agency opened. Want to know why? His agent is the Scott Boras of the NBA, David Falk. He told Brand a bunch of half-truths about the Clippers front office and convinced him to go back east.

Golden State, out of spite for Davis signing with the Clippers, signed Maggette to that 5 year 50 million dollar deal.

Camby came because Denver didn't want to pay his salary so he was traded for a 2nd round pick. Camby was highly insulted by that!

They have nine new players total and they're a mess. New year, new team, but the same old Clips!

Poor Baron. Comes back to play in his hometown and loses 117-79 in his first game. They were never even remotely in the game at all. I really feel bad for Baron because that's not that bad a team he's on, but there was really nothing he could do at all tonight to change what happened.
