There are only 9 3A teams that are undefeated in the state as of 10/25. Here are their current records and the most recent time that they equalled the mark.

Liberty Hill 9-0 (last went 9-0 in 2007 en route to a 14-0 season record)

West Orange-Stark 6-0 (last went 6-0 in 2006 en route to a 11-1 season record)

Sinton 7-0 (last went 7-0 in 2005 en route to a 9-1 season record)

Bellville 8-0 (last went 8-0 in 2003 en route to a 13-1 season record)

Navasota 7-0 (last went 7-0 in 1996 en route to a 12-1 season record)

Cleveland 7-0 (last went 7-0 in 1992 en route to a 8-2 season record)

Pleasant Grove 8-0 (1st time ever to go 8-0 since their first varsity season in 1984)

China Spring 8-0 (last went 8-0 in 1979 en route to a 14-1 season record)

Bridgeport 8-0 --> Please correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure this is the first time Bridgeport has EVER been 8-0 since the school started playing football back around 1921

If it wasnt such a bad game Camoron would be 8-0 for the first time since '05 or '06

China Spring lost to Hull-Daisetta in the 1979 State Finals the last year they went 8-0.

The loss to Hull-Daisetta ended a 28 game winning streak as China Spring won the final 14 games of 1978 to win the '78 state title and then went 14-0 in '79 before losing in the finals.

I think that is right on Bridgeport, WOS87---I'll have to check it out with some of the "lifers"---I've only been here 33 years. Thanks for more great work.

Just curious, but let's see how everybody would rank these teams from 1-9.

1. Liberty Hill (until someone can knock them off)
2. W.O.S.
3. China Spring
4. Bridgeport
5. Bellville
6. Navasota
7. Pleasnt Grove
8. Cleveland
9. Sinton

This is difficult because none of these teams have lost. IMO, WOS, China Spring & Bridgeport are currently playing the best football. LH, Bellville, Navasota & PG have all had close calls, but they just keep winning. I question the schedule of Cleveland & Sinton, but so far they keep winning.

just wondering....what makes you not question the schedule of the others....i have seen only one of those teams listed play....live twice and three tapes......LH has played a very tough schedule.....what were the others like?

O.k., Bulls-eye---I'm going to give an honest response without any homerism.

1. Liberty Hill
2-7 - Mix em' in any order you want--I think they are all that close together right now.
8. Cleveland
9. Sinton

But you KNOW where my heart is---right?

Feel bad about not being on the downlow lately, but work has been calling and calling and calling. I guess that’s a good thing.

It’s really hard to rank undefeated teams, really it comes down to individual match-ups. However I would like to say that LH for the first time this year looked like a real contender to make another run at a championship. I don’t want to get ahead of myself here but we really put it together the other night, who knows we may be peeking at the right time.

Well I know for a fact that Cleveland continues to have the lowest strength of schedule in 3A. Their 7 opponents so far have won a combined 11 games (11-35)

Hardin-Jefferson 4-3
Bryan Rudder 0-7
New Caney 1-6
Liberty 1-5
Huffman 3-3
Shepherd 0-7
Tarkington 2-4

Question 'em all you want...it isn't gonna change anything! I'd include Gilmer & Wylie as teams with losses that are playing good football right now!

Interesting. No idea we were that great then. I knew we won one and lost the next year, but didn't know about that streak in the midst of all that. Cool!

Funny, 30 years since then. Hmmmm. . . . .

Just nine regular season games. Hurricane probably forced a game to be canceled.

Just ranking the 9 undefeated teams. In my top 25, Gilmer is my #2 team. Like Bullaholic posted, you can put 2-7 in any order.

I thought the EXACT same thing. The boys definitely looked like they are peaking, which could be bad news for alot of folks:devil:

I remember Sinton being called weak and having not played nobody back in 2001 by Bellville and Bridge City
