For an explanation of what the numbers mean please refer to my post a couple of weeks ago about it:

Click here ---> Click Here (http://bbs.3adownlow.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=87737)

With Graham's win over Brownwood 5 of the 6 teams from 2-3A are now ranked in the top 38

Region I teams are listed in BLUE
Region II teams are listed in RED
Region III teams are listed in GREEN
Region IV teams are listed in PURPLE

As far as how last week's ratings fared in correctly predicting the results of this week's games:

Region I: 18-3
Region II: 16-5
Region III: 17-4
Region IV: 18-5

TOTAL: 69-17 (80.2% accuracy) --- this is better than my own personal picks were so I'm thinking I may just stick with my numbers from now on

As Jackie Gleason (an old back in the day guy) used to say----
"How sweet it is". :D

The main reason for that is that the teams that you have beaten already (by close margins) keep losing by larger margins (e.g. Brownwood), which affects your rating indirectly but significantly

Yeah, I know. It still stinks. :p By the time they finish district, we'll be out of the top 25. ;)

Unfortunately no. Doing it JUST for 3A is time-consuming enough.... I have a pretty intense day job so time is a commodity for me

Does it really matter? Once you beat any of the Region I teams ranked ahead of you in the playoffs you will quickly rise... which wouldn't come until the Regional Semis against Sweetwater with Bridgeport looming in the Quarters if my predictions are correct.

I'll be honest. I'm not financially independent but posts like these
will cause me to donate my house to your favorite charity.:D

On a serious note. I think you should have your own place to
have everything you post stickied on this board.

You do alot for this board. If you do have charity that
you contribute to, which I'm sure you do, will you let me/us know
which one it is?

Given that the overall rating is an average of each weekly rating I should list the highest rated team performances each week because if a team happened to start off slow it wouldn't reflect in the season ratings until much later.... The ratings below reflect ONLY the game played this weekend and would be much more reflective of how a certain team is doing currently

It is interesting how most of the usual 3A suspects have made their presence known

This demonstrates the outstanding performances this week by Rockdale, Brownsboro and Graham

Highest Rated Performances for Week 8
1. 54.28 - Bridgeport
2. 53.74 - Gilmer
3. 52.02 - Carthage
4. 45.27 - Cuero
5. 43.36 - Celina
6. 41.51 - West Orange-Stark
7. 39.02 - Liberty Hill
8. 38.97 - Prosper
9. 36.87 - Brownsboro
10. 35.87 - Argyle
11. 35.83 - Graham
12. 34.97 - Rockdale
13. 33.54 - Diboll
14. 33.37 - Pittsburg
15. 32.26 - Sweetwater
16. 30.29 - Burkburnett
17. 30.09 - Pleasant Grove
18. 30.01 - Chapel Hill
19. 28.07 - China Spring

That's because teams that you have won against keep getting
beaten. I can think of one inparticular.:evillol:
