My only question about this game is whether your corners can cover the fade. I hear it's unstoppable!!!!! Get ready, because historically week 9 is "coming out" week for "The Wood".:stirpot: :stirpot:
I hear they now have the double fade!

SW fans - The Abilene Repeater News football stats last Sat. reported that the Stangs had 0 passes? Is this correct. Sorry if this has already been reported. This district is just as tough as we thought it would be. Too bad there is going to be a really good team watching the playoffs.
0 passes is correct.
I had high hopes that we were going to mix it in a little more this season, as it appeared to be early on. But lately we have gone back to the same old routine of run run run.:(
Yeah we've won with it. But it'll come back to haunt us once again in the playoffs. Always has in the past.:(
Good thing we have a great defense, but that wont win em all.

The ARN stats are really incomplete. Here's our passing stats
as of this week.
Zach Birdwell: 11 for 37, with one interception for 145 yards
and 1 TD.
Jason Vause: 1 for 1 for 17 yards.
Daniel Jackson(RB) 0 for 1.

Oh darn!!! It wasn't a late hit or a horse collar was it?

Oh I know. But, you inspired me to start a thread. I don't
remember ever seeing some one get flagged for it. Then again,
I don't remember ever seeing someone tackled by their collar.

Come on? How much football do you watch? You have never seen a kid wripped down or whirled around and tackled by their horse collar?
By the way, my son will now have a horse collar starting next week from what could have been a serious neck injury.:(

Not that I hate being told I'm wrong when I think I'm right or
nothing, but this quote is from an official that has been doing

You know what Red, my thoughts were never about whether or not it was about the rules....... silly me, my concerns lie in that a player intentionally 'horsecollaring' another can cause serious injuries.
