Monahans remains unranked but I see them high on these lists......sleeper going to suprise some folks in December.
Monahans, Wylie and Bridgeport are the most dangerous teams coming from West Texas. Nobody else close if they all get stronger heading into December, this part of the state will be well represented.

I didn't quite understand that either. I would have to give the edge to Sweetwater at this point but am anxious to see a rematch between these two West Texas powers. This would be a packed house standing room only and a thriller. Both have great coaches and great programs.

Well the game was 17-14 and we both know how it ended. Congrats to stangs on this. Know youre a stang man do you really think Sweetwater has gotton better since because since that second half of the Monahans game. Yes I have, Defense has played great honestly linebackers being out of position flowing to the ball to quickly without reading has caused some problems to big plays. Secondary we have been very aggressive and Lakeview and Seminole made them pay on some nice play calling and Lakeview also set Monahans up a nice 3rd down play action resulted in 90 plus yard td pass. Another a mistake on big run against Sweetwater which should never of happened defense has learned and starting to play real solid. In the second half of the Sweetwater game they were dominant as againt Mid Christian game. Our front 4 are really playing great Football Linebackers have talent but finally starting to tackle better not make assignment mistakes. You should go to you tube and watch the Sweetwater v Monahans clip perfect view on how the big 85+ run for Stangs happened. Better not ever happen again. Lobo Defense End 81 Owens is a hoss man is dominant in stang game hit the rb of sweetwater grabed the ball out of the backs hand and carried him as he took it. Also Plays TE and is a dominant blocker destroyed Sweetwater end and would nock him into the Linebackers they moved him to TE in second half of this game and was a big diffrence Sweetwater Linebacker that had a great first half was getting blocked by his own man the End was getting drove back to the Line backer.

Well sounds like it's all coming together at the right times for the loboes this year. I was actually at that sweetwater game and saw the defense and how stout they were in the second half but did not know if they had played this way the games following. I did see the guy you're referring to in the owens kid. He was a beast out there. If the defense follows the intensity this kid shows then sounds like we could be talking about the loboes making a deep playoff run.
