Forney beats Mabank

FORNEY--Bo Gibson's 30-yard interception return for a touchdown to begin the third quarter ignited a huge defensive effort as Forney (7-1, 3-1) came from behind to beat Mabank (4-4, 2-2) 49-35.
With the game tied at 35 early in the fourth quarter Forney's defense stopped Mabank on a key fourth and one before Forney's offense scored the go ahead touchdown eight plays later on a Branton Blake 1-yard run.
Peter Smith later sealed the game for Forney with a 2-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter. Smith finished the game with 226 yards rushing and three touchdowns.
Mabank's Kolton Browning finished the game with 273 passing yards and a total of 5 touchdowns.
