There are plenty of things to say! 3 key players out, 800 penalties in the first half, and zero consistency in any facet of the game, and we win by 48? Spring Hill must be absolutely horrible!

I read that Spring Hill had seven sophomores starting on defense.

They always have a good band, though. Not saying ours isn't, just that SH is always instrumentally sound.

The game was rather boring. The highlight of the game is when the Finney guy from Longview won the new Ford Truck.

For those who don't know... Every year for the last few years, the Ford dealership (I'm not going to say their name because that would be free publicity and being a Yazell and owning a Chevrolet dealership, that would just be wrong) gives away a truck. What the contestant has to do is start at the back of one endzone and throw it as far as he/she can towards the other end. The contestant then punts the ball from the point the ball landed on the pass. From that point, the contestand attemps a field goal from the spot the punt first hits the ground. If they field goal is made then the contestant wins the truck, that is after they pay for tax, title and license.

The guy threw it to about the 35 or 40 yard line, punted it to about the 25 or 30 yard line, then booted the field goal with relative ease to win the truck. That lucky S.O.B.!
