The Bulls were a machine again tonight, Slpy. Near flawless execution on offense with scoring on the ground and thru the air. Best of luck to the Vernon Lions in their quest for a playoff spot.

UnBULLievable!!!!! Our punter got a lot of splinters tonight, not even one single punt. Our D could have played a little better, but the offense was flawless.

Good luck to Vernon next week against the Eagles.

What an exciting year for the Bulls. -- not so much for the Lions this year. But a win the next two weeks would be an acomplishment for us.

Good luck to the Bulls and congrats on a very sucessful season thus far. Come on Lions lets re-group and make the playoffs.

Is Bridgeport just that good? Or has Vernon digressed that much. I remember looking in the paper at the beginning of the season and seeing a score of Abiline Wylie 14 Vernon 6.

In my own humble (and homer) opinion, our Bulls are indeed that good this year. Vernon has a lot of team speed and several good athletes, but they were no match for the Bulls' size and speed. Our coaches are also doing an excellent job this year of having the boys prepared for each and every game.

Decatur is not in the playoffs yet -- they have to win next week against Vernon.

Sorry Z. You're exactly right and with the Eagle's lack of D beating Vernon will be a tough task.

The Bulls are the class of the district this year followed by Burk and then there is a drop off to Decatur and Vernon. From what I hear the Lions have a very down year so the game against Decatur will be tough. I'm not saying Vernon will beat teh Eagle just that it should be a good game.

Even if Vernon does beat Decatur they still have to beat IP which is a rivalry game and who lnows when those two teams play. A lot of football left.

Thanks for the nice words, Z motion. I hope the Lions win this week---we've eaten our share of crow from Decatur the last 6 seasons of so, and I usually pull for them in the playoffs after our annual battle, and when they go D1 and we go D2. Not so, this season.

I know you are away and have not seen any of the games, but even though I am a Bridgeport homer, I will tell you I have been watching HS football for many years and I have seen few offenses operate with the precision of the Bull "O" right now, and our "D" is playing very well, also. At this point, I think it will take a very good effort by a very good team to beat us in the playoffs.

This years Bridgeport team seems a lot like the team from 1997 (??) nice all round team. This years team has a good shot at winning it all if you ask me. I think Burkburnett will go far as well and BPORT had their way with them already. With Graham gone we need a new rival but I cant see the same hatred during the regular season between Graham and Vernon, maybe it is the maroon that does it. I do, however, see the same district love once the playoffs start. Maybe Decatur can be that team for us, I have never really liked Decatur and they stand in the way of a playoff berth for us this year. Good luck to BPORT and BURK !
