Good win Gobblers, I had to bail out once you started kneeling the ball, I assume it wsa over after that. Gobblers took care of business and yes they are good, it could have been worse. The bad thing is 1st string players didn't get much out of this. I was happy to see everyone contribute tonight, But keep working hard and keep getting better.

Gobblers take four straight knees with 7:30 left in the 4th quarter on Goliads 1 yard line. I guess the second string running back didn't practice hard enough to earn the right to score a touchdown? 63 or 69 to 6 I would think would be the same thing, some people are going to be mad you for scoring 60+ so why take a knee?

First Downs

Cuero 18
Goliad 3

Rushing -
Cuero, Team 33-309.
Goliad, Team 27-(-36)

Passing -
Cuero, Team 6-7-0-92.
Goliad, Team 4-16-3-22.

With Gonzales (having the largest enrollment in district) being 0-3 in District - it looks like Cuero will be going Div I this year and unless something weird happens - Edna and Yoakum will be the Div II representatives. Last year, Palacios played Cuero and Gonzales played Pleasanton for the Regional Championships and neither will advance this year. Next week we have a long-time rival game with the Apaches on Halloween (Apaches are black and orange in color) Thank heaven it's in Cuero this year.

GO MEAN GREEN :)

GO MEAN GREEN :) Edna? Goliad will rebound and take the 2nd spot or 3rd spot.

Wow, Cuero is flat killing teams in D28 from the opening whistle. I know their skill players are good, but with those type of scores their line play must be outstanding. You don't score that many points in so few plays unless they have a lot of room to run.

As far as who will be the 2nd and 3rd place teams...Yoakum is, IMO, clearly the 2nd best team in D28. Goliad had Edna at home next week and that should be the game for 3rd.
