What are the 3 keys to the game for your team to come away with the win tonight?

(Please spare us things like "Outscore the opponent," etc...)

Forney vs Mabank

Get pressure on their D1 qb
Run for 300+ yards
Play with a lot of heart, or something like that

1) Ball Control
2) No big plays allowed
3) Field Position

4) Intangibles - Sometimes the ball just needs to bounce your way more times than the others.

For West vs. Hillsboro, West must.......
1. Contain their speed. Don't let the receivers get deep.
2. Play 4 full quarters. No let downs in the 2nd half.
3.Control the clock. If we have the lead late in the game, eat as much of the clock as possible.

Liberty Hill vs. Wimberley;

1) Limit the LH ground game to 3rd-and-long (tough thing to do)
2) Prevent the long break aways by LH (tough thing to do)
3) Make them turnover the ball 3-5 times (less tough than the above)
4) Execute the Wimberley passing game consistently, then run to keep them honest.

(I know you said three...sorry).

China Spring vs. Whitney

1. SHOW UP!!!!! I mean this in an actual physical sense and mental sense. We need to jump out early, end the game early, and be happy with the win.

Wharton vs. Stafford

1. Contain their supposedly really good qb who has supposedly been out because of an injury
2. Execute plays flawlessly without any turnovers or penalties
3. Play the WHOLE 48 minutes of the game...FINISH STRONG
4. Control the clock

I know mine is four instead of three also, so I apologize in advance

1. Don't turn the ball over. I think that's they key to "ball control offense" right?

2. Bend but don't break defensively.

3. FINISH!

3 B. Field Position is SO key for us too.

There's really only 1 key to a game.

Score more points than the other team. :)

LH @ Wimberley

1. Put pressure on the QB
2. Do what we do (on offense); hang onto the ball
3. Contain Smith

4. Keep our composure!

LH @ Wimberlely

1. LH's front 4 needs to put pressure the QB
2. Hold onto the Ball.
3. No drive killing penalties.

Here's mine (similar but a little different...

1. Limit turnovers (none would be best)
2. Stop the screen (it's killed us this year)
3. Composure (because the calls will not go our way)

Naahhhh.....I know. Our kids won't be looking past 'em.
It's all about playing Defense. That's the area we've needed to improve on, and we're getting there. If it is true about what someone had said....that McCoy ain't too keen on getting hit, we need to get the pressure on him, i.e. Longoria needs to put a few licks on him.
Also gotta watch the turnovers. Much improved last week....need to totally eliminate 'em this week.
On Offense.....we just need to keep on doing what we've been doing, that being unstoppable ;)

Bellville @ Columbus

Bellville needs to:
eliminate turnovers
stay fired up on defense
not look ahead to next week

I must have missed it, but I have the entire 2006 game on my computer and we can compare the six holding penalties on LH to what wasn't called on Wimberley. Or how about the freshman game last night in Wimberley...no penalties on the Texans, including a blatant no call of roughing the kicker on our go ahead fg attempt?

I realize refs make mistakes. I know they often miss penalties. They're only human. It's the discrepancies in the calls that I'm talking about. As you said, the key for Wimberley is to put LH in third and long. What better way to do that than to call six holding penalties? In all of my life watching football, that's still the most holding penalties I've ever seen on one team in one game...

Navasota vs. Taylor

1. Blitz Meyer and Jackson and the run overall. Make Cobia go to the air, which is Taylor's weakness.
2. Protect our quarterback, give him at least three seconds to find his target.
3. Keep your cool, and limit penalties and stupid emotion driven fouls. Nobody wants to see a team win with thugs and crybabies acting like fools.

:)

This should teach everyone that no game in Texas football is an automatic win...so don't count your chickens until they hatch :D

Almost right on all 3

1. Ended the game with 4 sacks in a row leading to a 4th and 40
2. 294 yards rushing
3. Down 7 going into halftime and outscore them 28-7 the second half
