Wow - go first class. Way to go folks in Prosper. That will be a shining light in your area for years to come. Looks big enough to be a 5A campus.

Just looks like another new high school to me
Of course there have probably been 30+ new high schools built in a 30 mile radius within the past 10 years

Ill try to find more pics. The school is two stories and is huge, but the pic on the web site is what it looks like in the front.

Why do you feel the need to think everyone copies from Celina? You sadly need to get a life.

Isn't that the truth Kep. This was a sleepy part of town for a long time but when it woke up it really woke up.

I've seen the new Prosper school and as nice as Celina's is, Prosper dwarfs it.

I think the difference is, Celina plans on adding to theirs as it grows. Prosper is building theirs all at once.

I don't need to go look at anything. I saw Celina's everyday it was being built. Also did some work at Prosper. So yeah, you need to get a life and quit thinking Celina is the end all be all.

Probably so! The first thing I thought when I saw Prosper's is, "That looks exactly like Celina." The exterior look, brick/color, etc... looks the same to me.

Prosper and Celina's new schools look alike because they were both designed by PBK Architects.
The same PBK Architects who designed Lovejoy High School and the massive McKinney Boyd High School, among others in DFW.
Pogue Construction are the head builders of our new school (I'm from Prosper), as they have done an excellent job on our new middle school and three elementary schools.
I have seen two square footage amounts, those being 477,633 from PBK and 581,475 from Pogue. I would expect 477,633 as the true amount but wouldn't be surprised if it was 581,475, since we're paying $120 million!!!
The school will be able to accomodate approximately 2000 at first completion, and will be able to expand into 5A enrollment range.
When I went up to Celina High for the volleyball games, it looked extremely impressive, and poured on the anticipation for our new building next year. I also gave me (and many others I would think) a good idea as to really how great our school will be next year based on Celina's outstanding new campus!
We are really excited for the coming year!!

Thanks for the info! When was Prosper's current high school built? I didn't think they had been in it very long. I figured they probably were using the same architect. Hopefully it is big enough and won't have to be added on to anytime soon. I was surprised Boyd was already being added on to. Perhaps that was in the original plans for them. I don't know but it seems like you shouldn't have to add anything on to such a new school. It is still amazing to me the number of new high schools and brand new schools that have opened up in the area in the past 10 years or so.

In about 2 years Prosper will have the best sports facilities in all of north Texas. A super football field is almost ready to break ground.
