Question for Mathew

There is still several weeks of football left, but we are out of the picture and I'm looking ahead to next year. Just wondering what all you look at to determine the Pre-Season poll. (Previous year record, returning starters, etc....?) BH should be pretty salty!

Personally I look at last year's record...number of returning starters..who are returning starters..for instance if you only have 4 starters back on offense but 3 were 1st team all district and one was all state well you may get a lil more attention than a team with 7 starters back and none got postseason honors.I also try to find out JV and Freshman team records and sometimes I just go on a hunch..

Thanks for the reply.....I like your criteria! If a team has 8 returning starters on defense with 3 making first team all-district, 6 returning starters on offense with 3 making first team all-district, and the JV team went 10-0 on the season, then they would rank ok in your book, right?
