This is a matchup of two teams that will decide the district championship, barring a major meltdown in the last two weeks by either team. Crockett has not been as powerful as they were predicted to be in the preseason polls. Palestine Westwood has exceeded expectations so far, with their quick offense pushing them along. Should be a good game!

This will be a good matchup of two teams with speed. PW should have the speed advantage throughout the lineup though and that will be enough to win this battle. PW by 14.

Hmmm.....I've only seen Crockett once and Westwood not at all. I know the Bulldogs graduated the best player I saw play 2 years ago. I'll go with Westwood, just because R3e seems to know his stuff. :)

Haven't watched Crockett yet. But PW looks well coached and plays with a deliberance few teams have. Plus they have a good deal of speed at the right places. Crockett better have their stuff wired tight but what from what I've heard they are very cabable.

I noticed that as well. You can't count a team out that's already surpassed its win total for the last 2 years combined.

Both teams have underachieved based on preseason expectations around east Texas. Both have lost some games that I really didn't expect them to lose. Crockett seemingly returning to prominence, and Westwood admirably crawling out of perennial "cellar dweller" status had folks around here believing some noise was about to be made from around the I-45 corridor. This doesn't seem to be the year for that noise.

Westwood 48
Crockett 33

Sorry to offend the Fairfield faithful, I just feel that these two teams are in the best position to win the district. They have both been playing good football dating back to last season. Fairfield is far exceeding expectations, and that is great. I personally would love nothing more than to see them get to the playoffs this year. Beating Brownsboro was a big step, but a loss to Palestine hurts. Win against either of these two teams, and the Eagles should be on their way to the playoffs. Good luck Eagles!

 Really, now. Well, if you want to talk about the game with us, share your perspective of the game at hand. Usually, when someone interrupts off topic conversation with on topic conversation, the thread gets back on track. Why do you think Crockett will win?

I saw on Channel 2 from Bryan that Westwood wins by a score of 14-13.
