I can't stand the love for usc. They lost to an unranked team and play in a very weak conference, yet they are #5 in the country. How about playing in the SEC or the Big 12?

I couldn't agree with you more. The pollsters love USC for some reason. Yes their win was a blowout this week but it was not impressive enough (IMO) to get thrown right back into the top five. But on the other hand, wouldn't it be sweet to see them go to the championship game and get owned by someone in the big 12?

USC does have a good team every year. But are usually a bit overrated as well. The Wac-10 is garbage and should cease to exist and distribute its teams evenly throughout the rest of the garbage conferences with the exception of USC, the Big 12 will trade them for Iowa State.

USC would then struggle to be in the top 15 every year.

Honestly im Sick of USC even being mentioned. If it wasnt for their reputation they wouldnt even be talking about them, and for them to be up there in the BCS is making me start to lose hope for the computer. They beat WA St. by 69 and they arent the only ones to score 60+ on Wa St. this year. I cant even begin to think if they played a big 12 power house like Texas, Tech, Mizzou, Oklahoma, OK St., Kansas, or even Baylor. I honestly believe that Griffin would give their D a hulluva time. USC is OVERRATED like crazy and if their name wastn USC they wouldnt even get mentioned on ESPN. Im loving all the talk about Texas but im still worried about the D against OK St. even though i believe they will come out kickin' butt. Hook' em baby

Yea man i've though that for awhile now but dont wanna say anything because I know as soon as i say they are then they'll come and beat Texas. Texas is just showing me too much right now so i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say TT is WAY OVERRATED. to barely beat a rebuilding Nebraska team and then to barely beat a poor A&M team isnt BCS top ten material. To say Texas Tech is overrated is a stretch in my opinion but I do think they were overhyped coming into this season. They have yet to play good defense like everyone was expecting them to do. USC has a lot of talent and gets a lot of love from the pollsters because of that. We must all remember that Baylor, one of the weakest Big XII teams, put it on Washington State also.

EXACTLY, Baylor isnt no joke but they arent no USC either. Well they should'nt be close to USC but Baylor threw up amazing numbers also against Wa St. so no one should look at this game and say USC should be a top 10 BCS team. Just ridiculous, I mean they gave it to Ohio St. pretty bad but looked like crap agains an average Oregon State. They have come back to look pretty good but i honestly dont think they should be ahead of OK ST. in the BCS rankings.

I dont think i watched the Ok. St. game, if i did i dont remember since it was the first of the season but against Baylor Wazzu looked horrible....Griffin looked like he was in high school again throwing and running at will...Wazzu is probably the worst BCS conference D1-A....and they are pretty close to being the worst all around D1-A school as well....

I think the USC hate stems a lot from ESPN promoting them seemingly non-stop. I don't really mind it because once you get past the ESPN lovefest, they're actually a pretty entertaining team to watch. They're definitely the most talented team in the country.

No, actually based upon rankings today and strenght of schedule it would be Texas v. Alabama if Tex, UA and Penn State run the table. PSU can't jump an Undefeated Texas or Alabama based upon conference strength and conference championship game.

Games can be discussed for one day prior and one day after. ***Anyone resorting to childish, rude, or unacceptable posts or name-calling of schools, players OR other posters will: on the first offense, be thread banned, and the second offense, serve a 24-hr suspension along with a warning for rule # 5 violation. If there is a third offense, expect to find yourself a read only member.*** All game related threads will be locked the day after the game has been played. Starting a new thread after the original being locked may result in above action.

"News" items unrelated to a specific game will be allowed to be posted and discussed. If posts on news related threads become unacceptable, the above action will be taken as well.
