All I can say is that this will likely be the hardest-fought game the Rockdale Tigers have EVER played. I'm almost hoping there's a police escort to this game. It might get ugly.

The men in Orange had better come to this one with its absolute BEST game of the season because you can't play pattycake against a team on the verge of ending a season that originally had so much promise for Rockdale.

I nearly chose "too close to call" on this one.
I certainly hope the Hornets do their homework because a loss would put THEIR backs to the wall as well in remaining games, including a road game in unpredictable Taylor and a regular season finale against Cameron who would be out or blood if the Yoemen lose to Navasota.

I have seen both team up close and personal in the last two weeks and pick Caldwell by 14 in this one. Caldwell will run wild on the Tiger defense and won't make many mistakes. The majority of the Caldwell team watched the Rockdale-Navasota game last night and saw wht they face. If Rockdale tries to run the same type defensive approach that they tried against the Rattlers, Caldwell will have 400 yards rushing. And, Caldwell can pass effectively. If Rockdale tries to load up on one back, the rest of the Hornets will kill them. Rockdale has some very good athletes and great size on defense, but they don't have the quickness to stop the Slot-T of Caldwell.

Why would the Tigers play Caldwell the same as Navasota on defense the offenses are totally different. This game could go either way, should be a great game.

Most of Caldwell was at the game last night. :D

We can't take Rockdale lightly and can't think ahead to Taylor or Cameron. I do think if we let do even a smidgen (not often used in football talk), the Tigers will take advantage. It will definitely be a game requiring perfect plays every down. If we stay focused with our game plan, we'll be fine.

I hope #33 is okay. I was surprised they put him back in last night after having to go out twice.

I like what I saw when Caldwell played at Navasota. If the Hornets repeat that performance, it will not be close.

Hornets by 21.

Rockdale will have nothing to lose so they'll play their hearts out. I saw the Caldwell/Navasota game and their both awesome. Caldwell will come out on top though, Rockdale plays well but i think they have many individuals and not a "Team". When we played for the Bell i came in thinking Rockdale would give us a good game but they just didnt play as a team. No one really looked like they cared they were losing. Caldwell by a couple TD's

Here's hoping that week off pays dividends for C-town

I'm going with Caldwell only because I think they will control the clock and keep Rockdale's offense off the field. If rockdale wins it will be because their front 7 plays one hell of a game and gets after Caldwell alllll niiiggghhhtt loonnnggg. It's a tough task for a Rockdale team who is coming off a tough loss, but they have the size and power up front to do it with Hammet and Logan...

Should be an entertaining game.

What happened? I know he has diabetes and from time to time has to come out for that...did it seem to be anything in particular, because losing him could be devastating to Rockdale

It looked like he took a good hit a couple of times and was holding his head. I assumed he had a probable concussion but he went back in.

I remember them saying on the radio that Pratt stuck him with a good block on a Stokes run. He was down again after that one.

Hammit was at the JV game last night and looked fine. He was on the track talking to a couple of the Rockdale coaches.

What's the playoff picture look like for Rockdale? Are they out or still fighting for a spot?

I've seen Caldwell play this year and they are pretty good. They run the slot-t and we all know how tough it is to stop. Last year Rockdale did a pretty good job of slowing down Liberty Hill (who runs the slot-t), in fact it was LH's closest game. I think Rockdale may have a leg up in this one. Rockdale only lost to #2 Navasota last week 21-14, although they got killed buy Cameron Yoe earlier this season. And Caldwell only lost to Navasota 28-27. This game really could go either way..

Caldwell 35
Rockdale 28

Rockdale needs to win out and Cameron needs to beat Caldwell Rockdale in. Rockdale win out and Cameron lose to Caldwell and Navasota 3 way tie for 2nd. Caldwell wins Rockdale out with a possible 7-3 mark and not make playoffs.Good luck to all tonight and injury free.

Rockdale will have to lose 150 or so kids to reach that level. Alcoa makes that possible, but will the people in Rockdale be able to sell their houses if they find work elsewhere? Something to think about. I hope and pray for that town and the hard working people there.:(

I think over the next year the High school enrollment numbers for Rockdale will go down some. Their aren't many in the 8th grade class and there are 125 or so seniors I think.

Could get interesting........
