this goes back a little but tommy kramer and richard osborne, i believe they played at san antonio lee, we were in austin to play austin reagan on sat. and lee was playing friday night, lee was down quite a bit at half time and these two guys just took over the game in the second half and won the game for lee......there have been quite a few good tandems and this is just one of them

As far as last year goes hands down Eskew and Hicks for CS. I'm still trying to get over that great performance against LV last year. That was something.

The only time I saw Burnet play was in their state championship game. It seemed like they had a bit of an off game. I sure would have liked to see them play on one of their better days. I have no doubt it would have been unbelievable.

Saw Shipley and McGee dismantle Wharton *playoff's 2003* ?

After watching that game I was sort of glad Wharton beat us the week before ... j/k :p

Shipley and McGee hands down. I got to see them twice their senior year.

This year, which still has plenty of games/playoffs left, belongs to Brandal Jackson and Jacolby Stokes of Navasota. So far (5 games):
Stokes 54/79 - 1072 - 13 TD - 0 INT
Jackson 22 Rec - 514 - 9 TD

Project that to a possible DI title game:

Stokes: 151/221 - 3002 - 37 TD - 1 INT
Jackson: 62 Rec - 1439 - 25 TD

That would be pretty good numbers, and it is very possible since defenses continue to stack the box and spy Pratt every game.

I saw them twice, once in 2002 and once in 2003. Both times were the regional finals against my Pirates. And they were unbelievable.

Personally the one at the high school level I enjoyed the most was the one from my hometown, Troy Rogers to Rob Borchardt back in 1993. They were the original record setters at the 3A level and they did their part to help open up offenses in all classifications across the state with the success they enjoyed that season.

Graham Harrell and Vincent Marshall were without a doubt the best combo. But Quan Cosby at Mart had one of the strongest arms I've seen in a long time. I watched that dude sling some 60 yard warm up passes flat-freakin'-footed right into the end zone at Texas Stadium. If he were 6'2"..............................

McGee and Shipley of course! They are the only good combo I got to see very much of (I was fortunate to get to see every game they played over their 3 year span at Burnet). It was a once on a lifetime thing for most of us. Most forget what a great defensive back Shipley was. Many of Jordon's greatest feats were on "D".

Is this just a Texas question?

If so, McGee & Shipley

If not, Jason Williams (NBA point Guard) & Randy Moss (nuf said)

Best in High School that I saw was Kelan Luker and Cody Cardwell at 4A Stephenville. We scrimaged them in high school and I took the hardest hit on a drag route, Kendal Briles was playing saftey.

3A level watched Shipley and McGee. They were pretty good.

No those are only through 5 games. He had 270 some odd yards against Wylie and 1 receiver had like 120 yards and the other around 75.
