My 10 week old daughter had to be admitted to College Station Medical Center with dehydration and a bad cold or sinus infection. I am in Tulsa doing job training, and I will stay here unless things get any worse. I think they will be able to take good care of her to get her healthy again, but it is very hard being so far away already for the first time and then knowing she is not well. Prayers are always welcome.

Thank you,
Paul

Paul...

We had our son under an oxygen tent when he was 8mos. old for about 4 or 5 days for almost the same thing. It scares you to death, but thank God for modern medicine and some skilled doctors. Everything turned out just fine, and he is a strapping 35-year old today, and even outgrew asthma.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you, your family, and the little one for a speedy, complete recovery and return home.

They said she has a urinary tract infection and she will be getting fluids for 2-3 days via an IV in her scalp. I wish I could go hold my little girl so bad.:( My wife says she took 8 oz. of pedialyte or apple juice, not sure which, and she is now asleep. I am confident she will be just fine.

You and your family are in my prayers. I'll bet OldBison is right there looking after his grandaughter and daughter-in-law!

Well, after dropping almost a pound of body weight, she is back up to 10 pounds. Drinking pedialyte and nursing like normal, and the poor dear had an IV in her scalp all night. This afternoon, it came loose while she wasn't getting fluids anymore, and they had to reattach it in the other side of her head. But she is doing much better, only needing an IV for her medication. Ultrasound was okay, but no results on urine test yet. Thank you to all who have prayed or just taken the time to be thankful for having healthy happy children. I really appreciate the sense of extended family and friends on this board.:)

Good to hear she's okay. Living on the road is very tough when they're young like this.

I'll be back in Navasota Saturday morning, so I am less than a week away! My wife keeps sending pictures of her every day to my cell phone.

We love her hair, too. She actually was born with most of it, believe it or not. That was one of the first things the doctors said, besides "I have never seen them come out chewing on the umbilical cord!" LOL!:D

I do believe it! I had a full head when I was born and never lost it. There's a picture of me the first time my mom put sponge rollers in it. I was 3-mos I think. :D
