I know all the small town Chambers of Commerce encourage you all to shop locally, but I'm going to make that appeal again. The small town merchants are the ones who buy most of the booster ads, paint their windows, and contribute any way they can to the success of the local high school athletic teams. They need your $$$ more than ever right now.
In addition to their contributions, the small merchants also probably care about your business a great deal more than the big boys---and will provide something lost in American business today---good customer service with a personal touch and a smile.
Next time you need to buy something, check with one of the local guys first----you may pay a little more up front, but you'll receive a great deal more in return than just in your back pocket.
