We've often heard that one of the goals of the NFL is to achieve parity in the league. After watching Cleveland destroy the undefeated Giants last night on MNF, and several upsets from this past weekend's games, I think that goal is fast becoming a reality. I don't think there is a single dominant NFL team right now, and I don't think any will emerge this season. Looks like there may be plenty of 9-7 playoff teams.

Parity is indeed here. Now, I just hope the media and Fan's expectations begin to factor that in.

In today's NFL with parity in full effect, there is literal and absolute truth to the "Any Given Sunday..." bit.

Just because on paper my Cowboys look superbowl bound that doesn't mean jack. Because games a dominant team could coast through don't happen anymore. Every week you can get beat, no matter what the record of the opposing team is.
