Ingleside @ Orange Grove

This is a key game for the Orange Grove Bulldogs to keep their playoff hopes alive, meanwhile Ingleside's goal is to keep winning to be in that race for an outright win or share of the District Title. They will have to minimize turnovers in order to win this game. Its definitely not going to be a cake walk by any means. I believe that Ingleside can win this game.

Don't worry about it too much 99. It is information that is the main concern and as long as the communication is obvious there is not need to be concerned about correct grammar, spelling or pronunciation.

Injuries have really hampered the Grove. I know that is part of the game, but in 3A football, injuries to your players really hurts any team. The team has played hard , but silly penalties have really been drive killers. They have to sustain drives better and quit the penalties. To me, Ingleside seems to be Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and I just don`t trust which one will show up against us. It should make for a good game and I`m betting a lower scoring game than one would imagine.

I have no doubt what so ever that the coach of ingleside will have his team fired up for this match up, having 2 losses after 4 district games will not be good for either one of these teams. Ingleside has surprised me with the victories they have had already. It is quite obvious, whether you like him or not, the hc at ingleside can get a lot out of the kids he has.

I am hoping the dominating victory over a week fal team will bring some fire out in og. They needed something positive to happen to them and maybe this was it. Basically, with a loss ingleside will have to win out to have a shot at the playoffs, og is already in that position. Time will give us the answer.

OG has a great program in place and knows how to win games, even when they've been bit by the injury bug. Huge week in 31-3A as far as the playoff picture.

I'm not giving a prediction. These teams seem too close to call. It could come down to one play, a turnover or two, or just an off-game by either team. I've always have a ton of respect for The Grove's program, players, and fans. Good luck to both teams and I hope both Ingleside and The Grove have an injury-free game.

Coach Kornegay will do a good job (as he has done for years) and the Grove will play as hard as they can. What more can you ask? He gets everything out of his kids and has hired a staff that does a good job coaching. I am rooting for the Grove (unless we are playing them in the playoffs!)

OG doesnt have a false sense of anything, they do realize that it is now or never and that is what is driving them, this team has had some severe setbacks that has taken some time regroup, but are more than ready for the dinks:hand:

At the beinning of the season I remember a few OG posters that exhibited extreme confidence in how they were going to do against their opponents in District play. Now that Ingleside has matured and is playing better, I don't see anything wrong with your "ideal scenario" IHSStangFan.

Sorry didnt notice the smiley, OG realizes that they pretty much beat themselves in the first 2 District games and really needed a good showing in Fal to work the kinks out of the offense. Going into District play with a young QB was definetly not my ideal scenario but against fal he had a chance to get comfortable and to answer 99IHSTANG at the same time we were very confident going into the season and that just goes to show how crazy things can get in this district. Will be ready to get things started thursday night at the JV game. Will yall be coming to OG?

Fal is a good team to get you on a two game win streak. Example:

West Oso going into Falfurrias game had 3 game losing streak being outscored 110-65 in that span, next 2 games they have a 2 game win streak having outscored the opposition 61-25.

Ingleside going into Falfurrias game had a 2 game losing streak being outscored 73-6 in that span, next 2 games they go on a 2 game win streak having outscored the opposition 93-28.

Orange Grove going into Falfurrias game had a 2 game losing streak being outscored 42-23 in that span, after Falfurrias game they have a 42-7 margin and look for them to continue the trend against Ingleside as the team that has stop the two game win streak is the team that is in their second game after Falfurrias :D K abit much in numbers game but hey its a trend!!:) Orange Grove 31 Ingleside 27

Agreed, Coach K has always done a great job here in OG and I for 1 am glad that he is here and hope that he stays for awhile.

99ihmustang - there is nothing wrong with being confident of your towns high school athletic teams and i do not think you are saying that. i was and still am a confident supporter of og.........sometimes not all goes as anticipated especially in high school sports....no excuses here just reasons...i still feel og has the team to win on friday.....og 27 ingleside 24, it may just be as crazy of a game that we had in og a couple of years ago, with ingleside coming away with a one point win.

I still follow the Mustangs though...along w/ the Tombstone Yellowjackets (yeah, I know, I was surprised they weren't the "Gun Slingers" or something like that too) and my present hometown team the Needville Blue Jays.

Ingleside Fan called me and said that OG was playing very good and we were having problems stopping their running game in the first half. The second half was a different story as we didn't allow them to do much after they scored 1 more touchdown. It sounds like OG fought hard and Ingleside really had to step it up to come out with the win. What kept us in the game was that offensively we didn't turn the ball over. Good Job Mustangs.

Great Game! The Dawgs really came to play ball.

The Mustangs finally adjusted on "D" and shut down OG's running game. The "O" came alive and ran to the weak side of OG's defensive line and some key pass plays put us over the top.

Still in the Hunt for the Triple Crown!

Guess you had to be at the game OG led the whole game untill the last 4 minutes in the game, and that is what leads to frustration if you were at the game you could see that when #8 was in the game Ingleside could not even touch OG offense not knocking our new QB but its not hard to figure out that we are not going to Throw the ball therefore easier to defend. And when i say this i am by no means trying to take anything away from Ingleside, they are always a tough opponent. OG fans know things would be a lot different without the injuries of some very key players #8 and #44. I was not at this game, but I was at the West Oso game and I understand how frustrating it can be to lose a game when you know that your team has the potential to win, but doesnt. I appreciate your further insight and explanation.

Hey us Ingleside Fans knew it was #8 first game back since Beeville. And our side (the Fans) did show concern that he was not hurt when he started limping off in the first half. Our fans are not that low! Speaking of low, We would not call any of your Coaches any names. Going personal is below us! Coach H let his defensive coach set the "D" and they didn't adjust until the second half.

By the way Coach H had nothing but respectfully comments about your team.
