I'm in an argument on another board with a guy because he got on bragging about winning a pee wee football game 78-0. I said running it up to 78-0 in pee wee football is ridiculous. Am I out of line for questioning this coach for running the score up.

My opinion is no, you are not out of line. Bragging about that means you as a coach condone totally destroying kids that still cry every time they lose. Losing a close game isn't so bad, but can you imagine how they feel about theirselves right now? I am all for tough experiences making you stronger, but at that level, they are not ready for it yet.

What kind of pee wee league wouldn't have rules in place to
prevent this...like a 45 point rule(or less)?:confused:

IMO no matter what level you play at intentionally running up the score is wrong. What goes around comes around as far as I am concerned.

Wow... don't get me started on this. I have witnessed A LOT of Bad Sportsmanship in the local pee wee football here in Bridgeport.

Some of the coaches around here are definitely more into it than the kids.

I could go on and on but it will just make me Angry.

No, you are not out of line. But you are smart enough not to argue with someone so obviously ignorant.

The only Pee Wee I see in that coach is in the size of his brain and his heart (and probably other parts of his life too) :rolleyes:

Definitely, not my kind of guy.

Make sure he stays on the other forum.

All little leagus sports are the death of competitive athletics. If I had a $1 for every kid that told me he was a little league all star, I would have enough to go to the land of the casinos.
