28-21 Rattlers.

Caldwell driving in Rattler territory.
HOrnets fumble w/ less than 3 to go. That could be the game

Caldwell has 3 timeouts remaining but Navasota has controlled the 2nd half.

Navasota immediately gets a 61 yard TD on the first play but it gets called back for a block in the back.

if Caldwell loses this game, I'd look alot at the fact that they went for it on every 4th down and did not make it when it counted the most. Instead of punting from the Navasota 40, they go for it on 4th and 2! Hornets could've made Navasota travel another 30+ yards but instead went w/ arrogance even though Navasota had been moving the chains the entire 2nd half.

Caldwell gets another chance w/ under two minutes. THey get an excellent play w/ big yardage and then a Navasota player pulls a retard play and hits the Caldwell player well out of bounds. What an idiotic move. You just gave Caldwell yardage for free.

16 yard tipped pass TD for the Hornets. 22 seconds remain. Hornets must get the PAT to tie

Caldwell sets to go for two.

Navasota calls a T/O....oh the drama....28/27 Rattlers

onside kick fails. Rattlers will now run the clock. Final, 28-27, Navasota

Unsportsmanlike penalty (again) against Navasota. Navasota keeps the ball.

much as I hate saying this, good game Hornets. I still think punting the ball would've helped but hey, it's over. This district race is quite interesting.

The Caldwell Hornets showed that they are a team to be reckoned with. They played an outstanding game and gave Navasota all they wanted tonight. The Rattler defense gave up a bunch of yards but vcame up big on a fre occasions. Navasota offense was not up to par most of the night. Caldwell pakyed the pass very well and controled Pratt most of the night with linebackers spying on him. In the second half, Pratt had a 60 yard TD called back on a balock in the back penalty that was behind the play but that was his best run by far.

Congratulations to the Rattlers on the win and to the Hornets--you are a superb team and will go far in the playoffs . Kepp your heads high and bring home second place in the district.

I know you hate saying it was a good game being from Cameron but I appreciate you being man enough to say it. ;)

Great game, Caldwell. Excellent first half and kudos to Navasota for outplaying us in the second half. You can't blame them for going for two, but hey that's the game.

Hornets, use this week off to get fired up for the rest of district play.

I'm eating a little crow, but a smaller helping that I feared deep inside from all the hype and the fact the game was on the road.

Two excellent teams. No real losers even though it hurts some.

The Cameron guy was obviously relieved but we appreciate you giving us the ounce of credit you did.

I would almost say that you don't need to eat crow because of the caliber of game that was played last night. But if you are already munching, be sure to remember the taste. It is not good. Not something you want to eat twice. Good post, nunya.
