Opens tonight against Bonham. Has 2,000 seats and FieldTurf, and the press box looks huge compared to the old one.

A massive improvement over the goat ranch that was their old place.

New stadium, 3A school, 2,000 seats? Have they outgrown it yet?

Look like you will need binoculars even if you are in the front row.

I guess it's just as well that your team is 4A and you don't have to sit in it. :)

It looks nice!

looks really nice and also looks as if they planned for growth...the light standards are behind the stadium and not on the sides or in front of the stands.....does it have a visitor side?

never mind about the visitor side bleacher question...read the supt. letter about the stadium on the vaisd website.

The pic was taken September 16th.

Stands were moved from the old stadium to the visitors side during VA's bye week last week.

The new stadium opens tonight and it is impressive. As mentioned, they moved the visitor seats to the new field this week.

I talked with one of the coaches today at school and total seating capacity should be around 2,500-3,000 with the visitor bleachers being added.

As you'll notice, I like the fact that the stands are tall and not as wide. This allows the fans to sit closer to the 50. However, it's a long way to the top!

I don't like how the stands only extend 30 yards, I would rather have them stretch the length of the field, even if it means not going up as high.. It seems like you would a better view that way, plus it looks better

yea you are probably right, I see the empty space next the stands, but it is still pretty ugly for the time being

I would rather be higher up then 10 feet above ground level like most stadiums that do that

Does the press box have an elevator?

And Kepdawg, that webcam is really cool.
