The case has gone to jury deliberations in the trial of Jack Smith and Crystal Watson from Breckenridge that owned the 4 dogs that mauled little 7 year old Tanner Monk. They were tried here in Graham this week. The Courthouse has been much busier than usual.
It is a horribly sad ordeal. According to Lillian's Law- passed in 2007 the couple could receive up to 20 years and up to a $10,000 fine for owning a dog that they failed to secure that seriously injures or kills a person.
