Who has the furthest to travel to play a district game?

O how sweet it is. We only have to travel 34 miles this week. That is like heaven to us.

It's probably not close to being furthest, but Ingram is 122 miles from here.

see, you are talking about the same district and this is district play. Non district play is always farther it seems.

The farthest West has to go for a district game, as far as varsity goes, is China Spring which isn't far at all. Our freshmen and JV teams have to travel to Glen Rose tomorrow and Gatesville coming up in a couple of weeks and both are about 60 miles. A lot better than when Comanche was in our district, 103 miles for a district game.

So true! Didn't have the "pleasure" of the 22-mile trip to Burnet this year. Or even the 54-mile leisurely drive to Llano on the double-striped road behind some little old blue-haired lady driving 50. ;)

I think Palacios is Cuero's furthest district game - Gonzales to Palacios is probably the longest distance of any of the games......

yes it seems like these hill country trips are always on 2 lane highways where you can never pass on these hills and curves. And always get behind someone (enjoying the scenery).

I'm not sure which district games are away so I don;t know for the whole season....

But, it's about 15 to 18 miles from our HS to Needville's. Not too bad.:D

I'd say our longest drive is Stafford or Brookshire. I'm not sure which is further. Probably about 60-70 miles.

I don't believe we have a trip longer than 50 miles, but due to traffic the trips can take a couple of hours to make it to some of our games. The game against Castleberry over in River Oaks takes a good while to get to (We went there in 2006 and we're back there again this year.) and so does the trips to play Lake Worth, Carter-Riverside and Diamond Hill-Jarvis.
