We get report cards tomorrow. Hoepfully noone has failed out. Real;ly hoping that the one failee we did have has passed. He's been working hard trying to get back. :)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that grades will not hit the Jays too hard.

Its affecting my 16 yr old although he plays basketball. Also he just got a new car, drove it for 6 weeks and promptly lost it for failing Algebra. I dont get kids these days. Not appreciative at all.

If you fail a subject in HS you are just a complete and utter idiot.

This is the time of year when hopes are dashed because academics are ignored.

I agree. I put forth no effort in high school and got A's B's and C's. Now I'm left to wonder what I could have done if I had really tried.

part of it is kids that get new cars when they'e 16. i got a old beat up pickup with no a/c that was 2 years older than i was. when i got my newer (it was still 5 years old) truck for going to college i appreciated it. not criticizing you, i just see high school kids everyday with new bmw's and 4x4 trucks that don't understand how good they have it.

I started driving in 1997 when i was 16 and my parents gave me a cream colored 1986 Ford Tempo. I hated the car, but i appreciated it because i could drive and go places.

We had a 5-week first 6-weeks so report cards came out last week. I'm pretty certain everyone was present and accounted for against Burnet. :)

Sit in class, pay just a smidge of attention, do your homework, stay off the cell phone and the texting, quit "cruising" around in your car, focus for jest a wee bit on your grades. For those that think school is too hard well, some schools even offer remedial classes and kids still can`t pass? Oh, but their smart enough to figure out all the cool features their Ipods and Blackberries have.

I'm pretty sure that our entire O-line are honor students. After the last team meal they were having a chess tournament.

Team Meal? They told us we couldn't do that anymore because it violated UIL rules. It was in the evening time at one the player's house just for Varsity. His mom would cook for the entire team. So it is okay?
