I'll predict the final to be 66-17.

Lots of subs will play to save for Navasota.

Get ready, Rattlers

Caldwell:
442 yards rushing in first half - OMG!
480 yards total offense

nunya
10-03-2008, 09:11 PM
Actually, I think Caldwell will give up 20 points or more because if subs play like last week, folks wanting excitement can go home now.
Someday if they wish to be ranked again, they'll do like so many other teams and leave in starters til fourth. ON the other hand, with our luck, top starters might get injured.

Gosh, you're right. It's been a while since Cameron has been that far ahead of anyone, but I wouldn't call

60-35

a colossal nail-biter either.....:hand:

Yea, I was even disappointed for Cameron that year. Happens to the best of us.

At least you beat Troy, though, right?

nunya

40-yard TD pass. Told you Caldwell would let opponent score. Garbage touchdown
2-point conversion good
--- just like last week when M'ville scored 16 in five minutes toward end of game.

66-18 (here goes our coach feeling sorry for Rangers)

I happened to be at this game last night, and caldwell is the real deal. rudder is very weak, should be playing jv ball this year-JMO- but the hornets have improved each week, and will be a force in district. good luck the rest of the way.

Thanks ZB2.

Starting offense and defense only played 1st half. The 2nd and 3rd string did quite well and is getting good game experience.
As for running up the score. We did what we had to do to win, let all play, did some new plays and schemes and was generous with the clock. Both teams played with class I think.

This is a character building year for Rudder but they played each down very hard and didn't give up....very different from last week at Madisonville where the team acted as if they had never had any type of conditioning...kneeling, moaning, dragging around...and the star was a none team player. Rudder got up each play and was ready for the next. I'm like Zebra, I think Rudder should have played JV but also understand why Coach Pier made the choice to play varsity.

Rudder has my respect for bringing it all together. A hard playing team...which must be frustrating with the losses, a great band, cheerleaders and drill team.

Coach Pier is one class person. Does a great job on the side-line in coaching his team. They will be a force in 2-4 years. By no means did Caldwell try to run up the score. They even had a kid change jersey numbers so he could play another position in the second half. Only subs were on the field in the 3rd and 4th quarters for the Hornets. Two class teams IMO..
