My thoughts on the game...

Manor came to town tired of losing and ready to play. Brownwood comes off the bye week and kick off is delayed 45 minutes for lightning. Brownwood fumbles on their first drive (rust). Manor pep rallies and hangs. (Manor actually had the height and the athletes at DB to disrupt the passing game). Brownwood gives Manor 3 chances to score before half with no time left to score and even up the score at half. Thank goodness the game isn't over until it's over (right LH?). Brownwood comes out at halftime and takes care of business. 28 points in the 3rd Quarter and great defense. Brownwood offense goes nuts. The team as a whole responds and the running game shows up. Manor scores one more time on our 2nd Team defense.

Good job, Manor. Way to come out and play hard.

Not that it would have made a difference....To start the 2nd half Manor's HC gives Brownwood the ball and with the 20-25mph wind....which helps lead to 3rd qtr scoring binge for the Lions. The Brownwood QB is very good and very quick. #4 & #5 are very good WRs. The achille's heel ...Brownwood's pass defense is pretty weak.

And yes, Manor did come to the "WOOD" prepared to play.....was there and saw 'em. They had a great 1st half I thought and really fought hard. Talented athletes and the QB did a good job.
But I also want to mention that we shot ourselves in the foot several times that helped 'em out. We'll get all this stuff worked out before next week.....guarantee ya that! Brownwood, as Rocket mentioned, did look rusty the 1st half but absolutely put it to 'em the 2nd half and stepped it up. The boys will be ready for Wylie next week (yes, the DEFENSE included).
