Sinton penalties are keeping the offense in check. The Pirates scored on their first 2 drives and then stalled on the 3rd. The Panthers points came on Special Teams. Sintons D is doing their job tonight.....so far at least. ;)

I really feel sorry for Ram, he's usually sure handed. Just had an off night, I guess. He did catch at least one long pass though.

Kudos to AP! I have always been a fan of Aransas Pass and every year I say/think they will have a break out year, but the revolving door at the HC/AD position does not help those kids. Make no mistake about it, Aransas Pass HAS talent!

We came out and looked very good in our first 2 offensive series and then they had a great special teams play (KO return for TD) and that fired them up & kinda deflated us a little.

Their defensive front is big and was overpowering our line with stunts and different packages and we couldn't make the necessary adjustments.

TOs & penalties killed both teams. Momentum was with AP until they gave up that last TD. We were able to capitalize on a TO and then ran out the clock.

Our defense came up with huge stops when they needed to late in the game and it appeared that AP was gased at that point.

Ugly win for us, but I'll take it. In the end this type of game might be exactly what we needed. We were down for the first time this year and found a way to battle back and pull off the win! GOOD JOB PIRATES!!

Now, APPF and I are going to enjoy some adult beverages and talk about all of you Dinks!! :D She says "HELLO!"

Seems like Sinton shot themselves in the foot everytime they were on the move with penalties or turnovers. Congrats on never giveng up Pirates. The defense really sucked it up and stopped the AP offense and forced two INT in the end to give our offense the ball to score the winning TD. I thought AP did Sinton a favor by trying to complete passes in their final drives. #21, the running back for AP was finding huge yardage on the ground and would have probably run out the clock. Oh well congrats on the win PIRATES. Good luck aganst them other Pirates next week. Heard that they were a little wounded against Ingleside. Some players may not play against Sinton. Be prepared for a battle either way against Mathis.

What about the Monday paper?

If AP had won I bet they would have printed something. As it is they deserved to be given publicity for a great effort. They can give teams trouble. They are capable and as I wrote No. 21 (Jacoby Williams) is a great, fast player. My main concern for them is that they may not have much backup in case of injuries.
